How to get to Chistau Valley

Chistau Valley lies between the Benasque and Bielsa valleys, just forty kilometres northeast of Aínsa, following the N230 road that connects Spain and France through the Bielsa-Aragnouet tunnel.

A turn-off at Salinas will lead you onto a secondary road that runs alongside the Zinqueta River, the backbone of Chistau.

If you want to arrive to the head of the valley, a series of gentle bends will lead you to one of Chistau’s first great surprises: a sequence of tunnels carved directly into the rock, built to cross the narrow gorge beneath the towering walls of La Enclusa. This relatively unknown climbing spot is an impressive sight in itself … as long as you stop somewhere safe!

As you emerge from the last tunnel, the valley begins to open up. And so do your senses!
